10 members of wedding party killed in Pakistan

Islamabad, May 3 (IANS): At least 10 wedding guests were killed and many others injured when high power electric wires fell on their van in Pakistan's Sindh province on Sunday morning.

The accident happened around 10.40 a.m. in Dadu district, Xinhua news agency reported.

The van was carrying guests from Dadu to a neighbouring town when the accident happened.

The bride and the groom are safe as they were not in the van.

Police said that the van caught fire after the cables fell on it.

The injured people were shifted to a nearby hospital where at least two of them were in critical condition.
