Mangaluru: Over 10 injured as tempo carrying marriage party overturns

Mangaluru, May 4: Over ten persons including children were injured after a tempo carrying a marriage party overturned near Padavinangady here on the night of Sunday May 3.

There were 18 people in the tempo including men, women and children.

After the marriage ceremony held during the day, they were going to the bride's house at Shaktinagar when the accident took place.

The groom Chetan and some other family members were in a car, while the tempo carrying other relatives was behind. Near the turning at Padavinangady, the tempo hit the car on the rear before turning turtle.

The car was damaged, but none of its occupants were injured. The groom and others rushed the injured persons to different hospitals.

Mangaluru rural police have registered a case.
