SKSSF - SSF oneupmaship hots up - SKSSF activist assaulted

Puttur, May 5: The dispute between Samastha Kerala Sunni Students Federation (SKSSF) and Sunni Students Federation (SSF) has hotted up. Hamza, activist of SKSSF, who was scheduled to address a press conference here on the morning of Monday May 4 was allegedly assaulted by activists of the rival organization. Hamza, who was injured, got admitted into the government hospital for treatment.

In connection with this development, a complaint stands filed against Mukhtar, son of P M Abdul Rahiman, former president of Volamogru gram panchayat, in the rural police station here. The local units of these two organizations are engaged in intensified squabble since the last five days.

P M Abdul Rahiman and others had been named in a case filed in the rural police station relating to the assault on Hanif Musliyar from Madavu, an activist of SKSSF. SSF had organized a meeting to condemn filing of this complaint. It is being claimed that the current assault was the result of malicious campaign launched by Hamza against Abdul Rahiman through the means of Facebook and WhatsApp.

In the meanwhile, Mukhtar has got himself admitted into the hospital here, claiming that Madavu Hamza had attacked him. He has filed a complaint against Hamza in the rural police station here. Both these complaints stand registered.

As a result of the above attack, the press conference organized on behalf of SKSSF at the Press Club here was cancelled.
