Hot Tuesday in Delhi, Wednesday to see similar weather


New Delhi, May 5 (IANS): It was a sunny and hot Tuesday in the national capital with the maximum temperature settling at 40.8 degrees Celsius, two notch above the season's average. Wednesday will be as hot though the sky could be partly cloudy from the afternoon, the Met Office said.

"There would be partly cloudy sky from noon onward on Wednesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 41 and 22 degrees Celsius," the Met office said.

Tuesday's minimum temperature was recorded at 21.3 degrees Celsius - four notches below the season's average while the day's maximum humidity was recorded at 79 percent.

Monday's maximum temperature was recorded at 39.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 22 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.
