Martin Freeman to join 'Captain America: Civil War'


Los Angeles, May 6 (IANS): The makers of the film "Captain America: Civil War", which is expected to feature a smack-down between Captain America and Iron Man, have announced that actor Martin Freeman will also be playing a role in the comic-book sequel.

The film will hit theatres on May 6, next year, and is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who also helmed "Captain America: The Winter Soldier".

The cast is expected to include Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Anthony Mackie as Falcon, reports variety.com

Freeman has appeared in "Sherlock", the "Fargo" TV series and the original British version of "The Office".
