Mangaluru, May 8: A general store which also dealt with sound systems located near Boloor Katte here was reduced to ashes after it caught fire at about 3 pm on Thursday May 7.








This shop is owned by Prasad from Tilak Nagar, Bolar. Fire got ignited and raged when no one was inside. As such, loss of life or burn injuries could be avoided. Short circuit is thought to be the reason behind this tragedy. All the items including electronic wires, sound system, and roof of the building were gutted in the fire.

Fire brigade rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames. As per an estimate, loss suffered in this incident is in the order of Rs 4 lacs.
