Kundapur, May 8: Green Valley National School and PU College, Shiroor has been awarded British Council International School Award (ISA) 2014-15.

The portfolio submitted by the school after successfully completing several international projects and activities has been approved and accredited by the British Council and Green Valley School has been successfully awarded with the British Council International School Award for the period 2015-18.

The Award will be formally presented to the school in a ceremony later this year.

The International School Award (ISA) is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching and learning following best international practices.

ISA provides a framework for schools to develop an action plan and implement international activities throughout the year, and encourages schools to collaborate with overseas schools to create a rich learning experience for students through use of ICT, creative pedagogical practices and real context for learning. International School Award recognises and celebrates exemplary practices of internationalism in schools.
