Muscat: Karavali Muslim Brothers hold volleyball tournament

Muscat, May 8: Karavali Muslim Brothers a newly formed unit in Muscat by Muslim Brothers who hail from coastal Karnataka namely Mangaluru to Karwar organized a floodlight VolleyBall tournament in Al WadiKabir Indoor Stadium in Muscat on Tuesday April 30.










M M Ibrahim of Gangolli and Jamaluddin, City Center, Udupi were the chief guests for the inauguration of the tournament. Karavali Muslim Brothers Muscat president Nihar Ahmed, SKMWA president Sastan Moiddin, DKSC president Monabakka and IPF president Yousuf Mukka werepresent on the dais.

Ten teams from this region participated in the tournament which was played on a knock-out basis. Belthangadi Yes Kay team lifted the Winners trophy and Kundapur Knight Riders became the runners Up.

Siraj of Belthangadi team was declared best smasher and Suhail of the same team was best lifter of the tournament. Around 500 people witnessed these elctrifying matches which started at 10 pm and went on till dawn. Traditional coastal Muslim biriyani was served to all the audience at the stadium.

    It was a good tournament with lots of fun and entertainment..good job by KMB committee members Nihar, Tabrez, Anwar, Yousuf, Asif, Parvez, Zahir, Ashfak without them such a good event would not have been possible. Good job guys. We expect many more good programs ahead.
