Adriana Lima 'honoured' to endorse Marc Jacobs scent

Los Angeles, May 8 (IANS): Model Adriana Lima says that she feels "honoured" to be leading the campaign for Marc Jacobs' new 'Decadence' perfume.

Along with an image of herself and Jacobs, Lima wrote on micro-blogging website Twitter: "So honored to be chosen as the face of @MarcJacobs new fragrance Decadence ... shot by the incredible Steven Meisel (sic)."

The new fragrance is said to mark a move away from the sweeter more youthful scents that the designer is known for, and Decadence will instead be more exotic, which would explain the brand's choice of Lima, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The model was dressed by the designer for a Met Gala here to mark their new partnership.

The model's signing with Marc Jacobs is the latest in a long line of lucrative contracts for the star, who was last year named by Forbes as the second highest-paid supermodel in the world with earnings of $8 million over a 12 month period.

As well as being one of the lead models for lingerie giant Victoria's Secret, she has worked for brands including make up brand Maybelline, fashion designer Donna Karan and luxury labels like Armani, Versace, Louis Vuitton.
