Music is soul of 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani': Mohit Suri

New Delhi, May 8 (IANS): The title track of “Humari Adhuri Kahani” released on Friday, and the film’s director Mohit Suri says music is an essential part of the romantic drama.

Composed by Jeet Gannguli and sung by Arijit Singh, the song presents an intense chemistry between the movie’s lead actors Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan. The music is released by Sony Music.

“Music is the soul of ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’. The songs are integral part of the film and I don't think there is a better way to describe the film than the title track,” Suri, who is also celebrating the first anniversary of “Galliyan” from last year’s hit film “Ek Villain”, said in a statement.

He believes the music of the film brings out the essence of the different situations that the characters are in.

Emraan agrees with his director.

“When I first heard this song, it got me teary eyed as I believe somewhere we all have had a ‘adhuri kahani’ with someone. I don’t have one favourite from the album. All the songs are unique and will touch your soul in one way or the other,” said the actor.

Produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Fox Star Studios, the film releases on June 12.
