Kasargod: Daughter-in-law complains on sexual harassment

Kasargod, May 9: A police investigation has begun after a daughter-in-law complained to the Badiyadka police station about sexual harassment by her own father-in-law.

Sidhi Kunhi (60) from Kukkamkudlu near Manya is the person accused.

Sidhi Kunhi’s son has been married for seven years. The couple has a son aged five years. For livelihood the husband has been working in the gulf region for the past three years.

On an unknown date in February this year, the father-in-law is said to have gone to the bedroom of his daughter-in-law and allegedly sexually harassed her.

Daughter-in-law has said in the complaint that the father-in-law threatened her with consequences if she revealed about the harassment.

The woman aged 25 was subjected to medical tests and she has been found to be pregnant.

Kasargod police circle inspector P K Sudhakaran is leading the team of investigation. The police sources revealed that accused will be arrested soon.

    y u want to feed the cuprits who destroyed others life. death for this and that is the only option for the present condition to reduce the crime. i am not talking about sharia but thing is along with the time crime and criminals are also growing and i personally feel death penalty as per Indian law is the one and only option left for justice.

    dear all .lets wait and see what DNA say's may be someone else is responsible for her pregnancy and she just blaming on father in law to get out of the blame . lets wait and see. Even in sharia law the DNA is not considered there should be a 4 person witness it means when there is rape the women should call 4 person to see and if they joind as well then she should call another 4. so at the end she will not be standing to call anyone and she dead story finish . Simple wait who is responsible then we can drag him out in the middle of road and kill him as per sharia law .but this time not by stone by Bulldozer just smash him slowly.

    there is loop hole in every law. in ipc witness has to struggle for decades and go on giving statements till his death.. still culprits ll come out..? at that time there was no technology so may b they required witness. may b today they go through medical tests?

    People,

    I think it's a good idea to try all rape cases in India by Sharia court's for swift justice...only problem here is we may have shortage of stones in India and may have to use sand instead of stones!!!

    And all adultery cases by IPC, since Sharia law requires 2 male or 4 female witness to prove adultery...and it's impossible to find witnesses in adultery cases unless we install CCTV everywhere..

    I think Jossey and Dinesh do a joint research in this subject in NY...

    In india i wish indian muslims come under islamic personal law n tried so crime comes down but sadly the govt of india recognises muslim personal law in civil matters like inheritance n marriages n divirce etc n applies IPC in the matters of criminal charges... if muslim personal sharia law is applied in india for muslims i swear that crime rate amongst muslims will go down n it will be margunal compared to the present figures....i also tell u that if the govt proposes to implement sharia law for muslims in criminal matters it will be outrightly rejected n protested by majority of muslims n they ll start opposing it citing human rights....so there are plenty of hypocrites in muslim community more than u ll find in other communities.

    1) Someone else if the biologic father, FIL is trapped for no fault of his
    2) Father in law is the biological father
    3) Someone else if the biologic father, FIL is exploited and used one or two times by her to force the blame on him.

    A DNA test will prove the biological father of the child growing in the woman's womb. If proved father-in-law is the culprit, then I would suggest the public should stone him to death without mercy. Or if the other way round, then the woman should be punished for her infidelity.

    come on, we have seen so many incidence up north! and verdict is, her father in law is her new husband and her current husband is her son and she should give birth to healthy baby, which in turn is a sibling to her current husband!... she is now step sister to her mother in law! vhe vhe vhe if sharia is applied, she has to first prove that she got raped by same person and has to bring 4 witnesses for herself.. rather it is better to live as married to faher in law!

    incest happens in all the communities and it is a nasty sexual urge that in uncontrollable that makes any man to approach any woman, without having a damn respect for human relations!... i didnt bring in religion here! you said, Islam requires him to behead!I gave other anecdotal evidence!.. if Islam gives such heavy penalty, let her knock the door of muslim perosnal law board and her religious boards.. why she took case to Indian penal code? dont get emotional.. rest of the communities still swear by IPC and that is only avenue!... its you people, when property distribution, divorce and alimony want strict muslim laws and when it is criminal case, wants lenient Indian criminal laws! force a Uniform civil code and let us see how my community treats and yours treats culprits! yahan is aurat ke saat galat huva hai..she is pregnant when her hubby is in gulf and who is responsible, need to be investigated! one test and things will come out! ... and let us understand one thing, a woman wont just lie for the heck of it!...
