Don't judge life by success or failure: Modi

Dantewada (Chhattisgarh), May 9 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, interacting with students in Chhattisgarh's Maoist-affected Dantewada district on Saturday, said that life should not be judged through the prism of success or failure.

On being asked about the secret of success, Modi, who was accompanied by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, said: "I don't think life should be judged through the prism of success or failure. When we do that, disappointment sets in."

Asked how many hours he works, the prime minister replied: "I never calculate how many hours I work because the moment one does that it is not so enjoyable."

"When we live for our own people one cannot get tired. The people of India are my own. I feel happy to work for them. One can never get tired while working, what tires a person is not being able to work. The more one works its better," he further said.

Modi is scheduled to inaugurate two mega projects - a steel plant and the second phase of Rowghat-Jagdalpur railway line at Dantewada.

Earlier, Modi tweeted about his visit to the region: "Today I would be visiting Chhattisgarh, where I will go to Dantewada dist."
