Tulu Koota blood donation drive gets good response

Doha, May 9: Tulu Koota Qatar (TKQ) an affiliated Indian Cultural Center (ICC) association under the aegis of Embassy of India hosted its annual blood donation drive today May 8 at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) blood donors unit.






























The response by the donors and the well-wishers unexpectedly turned to be in huge numbers which started from 8.00 am and ended at 12.00 pm. Around 250 people joined the noble cause which was a unique show organized by Tulu Koota Qatar.

Up to 50 members were successful in donating blood in today’s blood donation drive after the routine checkups.

Dr Vishwanath Kini, consultant radiologist and head of paediatric radiology at Hamad Medical corporation addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance and benefits of donating the blood. President of the forum M Ravi Shetty welcomed the gathering. Kiran Anand, general secretary of the forum compered while M Iqbal Manna from Special Needs committee of Tulukoota Qatar proposed the vote of thanks to all those who donated blood and also to all those who supported and worked hard for the success of the event.

Divakar Poojary past president of Tulu Koota and general secretary, ICC, Deepak Shetty, president, Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Niyaz Ahmed, president Karnataka Muslim cultural association, Prakash Chandra Ajila, president, Bunts Qatar, Abdul Majeed, president, South Canara Muslim Welfare Association, Syed Abdul Hye, M I Farid, Milan Arun, Arun Kumar, Seetharam Shetty, Ramachandra Shetty, Habibul Nabi and several prominent community members and association committee members and other dignitaries attended this noble cause.
