No future in violence, If there is a future, it is in peace : Modi

Dantewada (Chhattisgarh), May 9 (IANS) : The future lies in peace and not in violence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said here on Saturday, hours after Maoist rebels took some people "hostage" in the state.

Addressing a public rally in the Maoist-infested Dantewada, Modi said: "There is no future in violence. If there is a future, it is in peace."

Chhattisgarh has the "power to change the future of India", he said. He also announced the investment of Rs.24,000 crore in the Bastar region.

"Perhaps it is for the first time that in a programme like this MoUs worth Rs.24,000 crore have been signed. This will change Bastar's future," Modi said.

"Send iron out and get steel from outside. This would go on but now this has to stop. We will make steel from the iron ore," the prime minister said.

Inspector General (IG) of Bastar I.G Kalluri told mediapersons that five to six people have been held by the Maoists.

Earlier, media reports said around 500 people were held captive by the Maoists in Marenga village when they were on their way to attend Modi's rally here.

The union home ministry also dismissed the hostage-like situation in the state.

I cant stop your imagination or forced imagination running wild. where did you get the news that Sangh Parivar burnt 60 odd Hindus so that Modi becomes popular? just like you people believe that ISIS, BOKO HARAM, al qaeeda and other terrorist groups is the creation of ISRAEL and America. for anything and everything you start blaming Sangh parivar. As if if there was no Sangh parivar, India would have been at peace for all times. the fact remains that riot was triggered by train burning incident. the rioters are not bothered about who was ruling the state. there is a mob psychology which acts when people are in group and there is lot of rumor mongering at the time of Riots. people will go wild and lose their normal behavior and become abnormal in such situations.

Previously there used to be 200 comments I used to see in daiji whenever there was a statement by Modi..now the comments reduce to below 100...people stopped bothering to his speeches..

Modi is expert in fekugiri only and nothing else. WE cant expect peace in India as far as bjp rules this fateful country. If Modi is really interested in peace, let him expel hate mongers from his cabinet and arrange for their arrest immediately. Modi is busy only in visit maximum possible countries to enjoy at the cost of our hard earned money. He had promised to bring black money in90 days only to win the electioin. I am sure he will not do so because black money belongs to industrialists and these people supported Modi with billions of dollars to win the election and how come Modi will deceive them. He is just making India fool by tgelling that he will bring back the black money, but this is only a drama. He will never bring the black money back to india.

Guys.. Gujrath Viloance is a bad mark for India.. but we need to come out of it...

Modi was proven not guilty in court.. So atleast respect this judgement...

we all clearly know and aware that, at currentl moment no party has any strong PM Candidate except Modi and we need to support him and ensure he does good work, critcisze him and bring him back when he don't.

If you do not like Modi, that is OK, but let us get another strong candidate who may perform better than him...

We all are sure on one thing: Rahul cannot be that guy for next say 20 or say 30 years...

The Gujarat riots reconfirmed his seat as Chief Minister of Gujarat for many years, and he eventually became the blue eyed poster boy for the Sangh Parivar.

So now that he is Prime Minister he needs to keep these fires burning by being a twin faced hydra. On one hand he says no violence and on the other he has gives his blessings and tacit support to the several arms of the Sangh Parivar who are conducting their "Ghar Wapsi" programmes and attacking Christians and their places of worship. Why have not seen all those involved in church attacks being prosecuted, and statements from the PM's office and high ranking officials in his party denouncing these attacks against Christians and their paces of worship.

He has time to go on several overseas visits and he has spent most of his time in the air. We need to be convinced of his good intentions and he should visits the places of worship and denounce the attackers from there that is wrong, wrong, wrong so STOP this crap right now and let's all live in peace.

    Mr Sampath,
If you are serious to know the anwer a little search in google will get you all the answers.

In short, Modi was givig answers till 2005/6 to the allegation of riots. Then later he realised that people who ask these questions are not interested in answers and just want to keep talking about it. He stopped entertaining that topic and talks only about development.

For more than 10 years Congress tried every way to investigate and frame him. If there was any small evidence he would have been rotting jail now. This itself should clarify your doubts. Ofcourse if you not looking for answers and reasons to blame him...keep doing what you are doing....

Gujarath Riots were in the back of burning of around 60 Hindus in a train. The anger resulting in retaliation would have come irrespective of who was in power in Gujarath then( Mob psychology). there was lot of casualties among Hindus also. but many people are fed through religious indoctrination that Hindu blood is cheap. The congress and their ilk do not want Hindus to retaliate. after a series of ive Bomb blasts Hindus also have learnt that they too should hit back or else get killed cheaply.

you can also look through muzhafarbad riots. A YouTube clips which was from paki beet in some people and rss goons telling people that's in muzhafarbad Muslims beating hindus. AndWalikum salam start again.

everytime when a riot happpened, they used to insitgate and then kill and Hindus never used to retailate or not allowed to!..2002, they did a mischief and someone had to stop it... Modi did it..he allowed a retaliation for both the sides..do as u deemed fit! have a communal orgy!.. if u have to learn a lesson hardway, let it be! finally peace is what you will yearn for, violence cant win anything!... and it happened... FULL STOP, no more riot! no one dared to play mischief!.. Hindus forgot and lived happily....seculars are still remembering and crying, what hit them!... HINDUs washed away their "COWARD status given by Gandhi"! and lived happily ever after.. now no one calls them weak or does chedkhaani!... so tell me, didnt peace exist?!

Naxals are doing the same now! let them do these mistakes repeateldy... till one day, ARMY STRIKES!
