Warm Saturday in Delhi, clear sky on Sunday


New Delhi, May 9 (IANS): It was a warm and sunny Saturday in the national capital as the maximum temperature settled at 42.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average. The Met office has forecast similar weather on Sunday.

"The sky is expected to be clear on Sunday," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 43 and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Saturday's minimum temperature was 25.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average.

Friday's maximum temperature was 42.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, while the minimum was 29 degrees Celsius, three notches above average.
