Mohammed, You are wrong and grossly ignorant! It is not the poor drivers but the owners of tippers and express buses who have to be prosecuted for all the violations going on in the road!. If the drivers dont obey, they are summarily terminated from job!. Now tell me, who are the people who run rickety vehicles for running a family!?. I have heard of a prominent bus operator bragging that he has 2000 cases on his company and that his lawyers will take care of everything and he has no fear of anything!!!. Now Just imagine which bus(express Udupi-mangalaore) company is that from the pictures of accidents published in newspapers!

I agree with Mr. John. Its time to take action instead sit and read the headlines of accidents happening because of overspeeding. Throughout the world Heavy duty & commercial vehicles have been assigned the slow track but unfortunately due to narrow lanes and lack of space we cannot afford to allot such slow tracks in India but atleast we can take measures to avoid such accidents where innocent lives are lost because of ones reckless driving.

I request authorities in DK and Udupi to compulsorily install 60kmph speed limiters in all express buses and trucks. They will protest for sometime but they cannot go on like that forever. Or the other way is that any commercial vehicle that violates road rules should be confiscated and allowed on the road only after installing tamper proof speed limiters. Lives are more important than racing!
