NDMC donates Rs.1 crore for Nepal relief


New Delhi, May 10 (IANS): The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has donated Rs.1 crore to the Prime Minister Relief Fund to provide immediate relief to the earthquake victims of Nepal.

The amount is a part of the NDMC staff’s one-day salary towards relief and rehabilitation work in Nepal.

Earlier too, at the time of flash floods in Jammu and Kashmir in 2014 and the Uttarakhand floods of 2013, the NDMC staff contributed a day's salary to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
