Lightning kills five in Bihar

Patna, May 10 (IANS): At least five people, including two children and a woman, were killed on Sunday when they were struck by lightning in Bihar's Madhepura district, officials said.

The deaths were reported from three villages - Bodhwa, Phulaut and Alamnagar.

Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds uprooted trees, damaged houses and brought down power cables in Madhepura. The downpour also brought down the temperature.
