Kagodu slams govt for demolishing houses

Bengaluru, May 11 (DHNS): Legislative Assembly Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa on Sunday hit out at the Siddaramaiah government for demolishing houses on lakebeds in Bengaluru, saying that he has not seen such a bad administration in his whole career.

“I have not seen such a bad administration in my whole career. It (the government) has no shame. Gullible people (house owners) are being hanged for the mistakes of the government. What was the government doing when the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) was forming layouts on lakes,” he asked. He was speaking to reporters at his official residence on Race Course road.

People have had a bad impression on the administration. They are of the opinion that it is the worst administration. Subsequent governments and the BDA have done the mistake. They have not followed the rule, resulting in this problem, Kagodu said. The Speaker has been vocal in criticising the Siddaramaiah government for sometime now.

He said he also has a site at Dollar’s Colony in JP Nagar, where the residents and site owners have been issued notices recently. “I also have received a notice. It is not proper to issue notice to people. The BDA has formed the layout and allotted the sites. So action should be taken against the BDA if there is any lapse,” he argued. He also said he will write a letter to the chief minister in this regard.

Kagodu is 100 % right in his expression about the govt's failures. But that should not be restricted just because he is also received notice from Govt.
