Mangaluru: Lobo addresses public grievance at Mallya layout

Mangaluru, May 11: MLA of Mangaluru South Constituency, J R Lobo visited Srinivas Mallya (MUDA approved) Layout in Shakti nagar and addressed public grievance, here on Monday, May 11.

The residents of the layout complained to the MLA that MUDA has handed over the layout without providing amenities like road approach to the main road, underground drainage and park. MUDA has handed over the layout to Mangaluru City Corporation but the corporation has not accepted.

MLA directed the MUDA commissioner to construct a bridge and provide proper road approach and also install a separate UGD line.

Speaking to media, MLA J R Lobo said, “There are three problems here. One is road approach and bridge, second is developing a park and third is UGD connection. Regarding the road and bridge, I have directed the officials to construct the bridge. For the construction of roach, they need to acquire some land and the notification should be sent to government and then, it will be addressed at the earliest. Regarding the park, there is land available here and MUDA has money also but there are some legal issues in using the money for park. We have written to the government and it will be resolved. Regarding the UGD, Separate line will be installed. MUDA has already handed over the layout to corporation but corporation has not taken it. I will direct them to take over the layout”.

    Mr. Lobo should invite all Granite quarry owners/ factories along with Horticulturists: nurseries along with some A grade : licensed/competent/honest:Civil contractors do the city beautification program with both :
    Hard and Soft landscaping,..
    cover all Side walks: walking paths: bike trails:close sewers: open drains:cover them all .. with neat Granite chapdis: kerbside:Involve international Landscaping cos and evolve great programs.
    like in Dubai..singapore..
