Udupi: Spectacular display of dancing talents at 'Darpan'

Udupi, May 11: The MJC open ground at Manipal here was witness to an enthralling evening on Sunday May 10, as Prashant N Group Dance Academy presented a spectacular 'Darpan-2015'.

The students of the dance academy inaugurated the programme by the lighting the lamp.

A large number of spectators were witness to the grand success of the dance extravaganza. The event included a number of live performances by children of different age groups. Young dancers let themselves free and performed with great zest.

Radio Jockey Sahil added flavour to the colourful dance show as master of ceremony, while Nagraj carried out the formal stage programme. Darpan-2015 was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone including Manipal students, locals and artistes’.

Artistes rocked the stage by dancing to various Bollywood remix songs. It was a truly fun-filled night for all who watched the show. Children of the academy impressed the spectators with their awesome moves and sparkling costumes.

Yashpal Suvarna, president of Dakshina Kannada Fish Market Federation, Renu Jayaram, CEO of Jayadev Motors, Purushottam Shetty, Ujwal developers, Jyothi Ramanath Shetty and others were present here.

    While Udipi is becoming more and more of a Major City, Udipi needs a Performing Arts Centre. There are hundreds to thousands of artits in different fields, can show case their talent. Why not the Govt Authorities and Politicians join hands to build for present and future needs?
