Qatar-based Karnataka assns felicitate Chandrashekar Rai

Qatar, May 12: Chandrashekar Rai, secretary of Karnataka amateur athletic association is based in Qatar as team manager of the Indian youth athletic team to participate in the ongoing Asian athletic championship at Qatar sports club.








Chandrashekar Rai is the former national gold medalist in javelin and was also the Asian gold medalist in javelin in the masters category. It has always been customary for Karnataka Associations in Qatar to honor any visiting guests or dignitaries who have achieved significant achievements in their respective fields as well as those who have earned laurels for the state.

Deepak Shetty, president of Karnataka Sangha Qatar(KSQ), Karanataka muslim cultural association (KMCA), Ravi Shetty, president -Tulu Koota Qatar, Prakash Noronha, vice president -Mangaluru Cricket Club(MCC), Abdul Majeed -president South Canara Muslim Welfare Association (SKMWA), Prakashchandra Ajila -president, Bunts Qatar and Divakar Poojary, founder president Qatar Billawas and committee members of these associations jointly hosted a dinner party at Layan Garden in honor of Rai and felicitated him.

They also presented him a memento as a token of appreciation. Prakashchandra Ajila welcomed the gathering. Ravi Shetty gave a brief introduction of Chandrashekar Rai. Abdul Majeed proposed the vote of thanks. The brief function was anchored by Divakar Poojary.

Rai in his brief address recalled how his hard work has paved the way for his success. He thanked everyone for their support. He thanked all the associations for their good gesture.
