Entertainment Packed Daijidubai Annual Day on Apr 12

Dubai, Mar 29: The Easter mood will soon set in and it is this time that the Daiji Dubai, Konkani Writers' Forum in Dubai led by Hemacharya is seen getting ready for its eight annual day celebration.
The celebration will be held on April 12, 2007 at the Indian Consulate.
The highlight of the event will be ‘ye ye Katrina’ fame Henry's super hits like ‘Ami Dogi Sezara’ and other numbers including the all-time-favourite ‘ye ye Katrina’.
Henry will be accompanied by Dubai's well known singers Maxim Periera of ‘Manasa’ and ‘Baila Boom’ fame, Asha Maben, Rony Byndoor, Dony and Asha Correa.
The event will bring on stage one of the finest dance shows choreographed and participated by Dubai’s live wire Vinod Sequiera, Sandria and the entire Ocean Kids troupe.
The music for the event will be directed by veteran musician James Fernandes.
Dayan D'Souza, a well known name not only in the Konkani community but also in the theatre field as a comedian will head the entertainment team which has planned several skits on the day.
Valerian Peris, Alwyn Pinto, Sunitha Menezes and many other new faces will perform on stage.
As daijiworld readers are already aware, Wilfy Rebimbus, the senior artiste of Konkani music world has bagged the prestigious Daijidubai Annual Award for the year 2007 and will received the award during the event.
Merit Freight systems, one of the leading freight forwarding houses in the UAE is the main sponsor for the event for the fifth consecutive year.
