Mangalore: Preparations for Brahmakalashotsava at Kateel in Full Swing - Pics

Mangalore, Mar 29: Preparations are in afull swing for the Ashtabanda Brahmmakalashotsava and Nagamandala in Sri Durgaparameshwari temple, which willbe held on Thursday April 5 and Friday April 6.

The entire area is decorated with banners and lightings. Devotees are already thronging to the temple with horekaniker from all over the district and even from outside the state.  The holy ritual which is being organized after a gap of 21 years is monitered by district-in-charge minister Nagaraj Shetty who is also the honorary president of Brahmakalashotsava Samiti.

A hall and stage " Brahmari Vedke" has been set-up for various cultural, religious and state pragrames which will be starting from Thursday March 29.

Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, deputy chief minister Yediyruppa and other dignataries are expected to visit the temple during the celebrations.

The week-long programme which starts from Thursday March 29 is expected to attract several thousand devotees everyday.  More than 25,000, volunteers from various social organizations are putting in their efforts to make this event a grand success.
