Kolkata, May 13 (IANS): Kolkata based personal and healthcare company, Emami Ltd on Wednesday said its consolidated net profit in 2014-2015 rose by 20.66 percent at Rs.485.61 crore against 402.47 crore in 2013-14.
In the timeperiod under review, the consolidated revenue increased by over 22 percent at Rs.2,313.66 crore against Rs.1,882.95 crore during 2013-14.
In Q4, its net profit rose by a healthy margin of 24.45 percent at Rs.138.33 crore against Rs. 111.15 crore in the corresponding timeperiod last year. Total income of the firm in the same period also showed a positive increase by 25.67 percent at Rs.583.31 crore against Rs.464.14 crore in the same timeperiod in 2014.
In a regulatory filing with the National Stock Exchange, the company said in January this year, its wholly-owned UAE based subsidiary, Emami International FZE acquired a controlling stake of 66.67 percent in Australia-based Fravin Pty Ltd (Fravin).
"Consequent to the above acquisition, Fravin alongwith its three subsidiaries have become subsidiaries of Emami Ltd," the statement said.
Fravin's major strength is in the space of research and development and manufactures natural and organic personal care products in Australia.
