Dubai, May 14: Realty India Expo, presented by the Times of India, provides a rare opportunity for Gulf NRIs to directly interact with property developers for bargain deals while investing in real estate across India. Prominent among them include opening of retail sector to global investors, a new land acquisition law, streamlining of approval mechanism and appointment of a real estate regulator in each state. It has been estimated that the real estate sector has the potential to increase five-fold to reach USD676 billion by 2025 particularly at a time when the government is finalizing plans to announce 100 smart cities and 500 other cities across the country.
The 2-day show will display varied residential projects from cities like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kerala, NCR, Mumbai, Pune and other cities. This is apart from developers from tier III cities like Coimbatore, Mangaluru and Mysore which are now driving demand.
Among the categories of properties that will be on display during the 2-day mega show specific mention should be made about plotted development projects, affordable housing, luxury apartments, row houses and villas. NRI consultancy services will be made available on show days to clarify queries relating to investment, home loans, tax planning and repatriation procedures.
With the commercial property absorption inching high across metros, there will be increasing demand for housing both for rental and investment purposes. It is said that every sqft of commercial property absorption in a city generates demand for 3 sqft of residential property. Moreover, availability of property management companies to take care of NRIs’ properties during their absence in India has made investment in multiple cities a viable proposition and hassle free exercise.
