Also, passengers in Mangaluru who were supposed to board the flight to Mumbai have been accomodate in another flight and flown to Mumbai via Bengaluru, official sources said.

However, souces said that passengers who were supposed to fly to Gulf destinations via Mumbai from Mangaluru were sent back and asked to come on Friday May 15. Some of the passengers in Mangaluru also said that no alternative arrangement was made via Bengaluru as claimed by the airline. A family of three women passengers from Udupi had to return from Mangaluru airport as they were told to come back on May 15.

The worst service from Jet Airways. I am one of the victims of delay in my baggage. I travelled on 01-05-2015, after landing almost waiting one and half hours, Jet Airway staff informed some baggage not yet arrived, we will deliver tomorrow to the destination. But I received after 2 days on 03-05-2015.I request Managing Director of Jet Airways to pay attention on this matter personally, also I request daijiworld to heighlight this issue.

The incident reflects poorly on Jet Airways. They should have informed the passengers of the cancellation so that they could have avoided travelling long distance to the airport only to go back. Especially difficult for women and children who travel alone.
The authorities should also ensure that airlines keep their passengers informed of delays and cancellations and should impose penalty for lapses.
Also this is the time to permit competition and allow allow other international airlines to start flights from Mangalore to places in the GCC.

Jet-Airways joing the category of AIE.
Even Jet-Airways hospitality is not same as erlier time, its very worst & ground staffs are not properly trained. Specially from Mangalore-Gulf via Mumbai. Sometime gate number is differ than the broading pass in Mumbai Airport & we are waiting in old gate, no staff is there to infrom about changed gate. Inside flight also, hospitality is not good & some time if we order Non-Veg, they says " Sorry, can u adjust with Veg". If u ask for an tea, they giving excuse as " Now we are going to land shortly", but flight will land after 1 hour. Its our bad luck that, we dont have other flight to Mangalore than Jet-Airways or AIE. Even i experienaced same is Jet Airways domestic flight too, they will change thier flight schedule by last moment & we missed our connecting flight. Then they provide us next day flight & they are not giving hotel to stay overnight.
Dear Jet-Airways, not only First Class people are human being, we also from Economy class are humans.

The statement and clarification of Jet Airways is disgusting. Passengers who came all the way from Udupi district were never informed about the cancellation of the flight. Once they reached the counter they were informed to come next day and sent back without any courtesy. Neither they were given any drinks/lunch or refreshments. Females who came all the way from Udupi dropped the taxi at Airport gate and entered the counter, they were totally shocked when they were informed about the cancellation of flight. How can all female passengers manage to go back along with their luggage’s begging and asking help from strangers to arrange a taxi when none of the Jet PRO's showed courtesy. The front line counter staff were not even ready to talk politely to the passengers. What if the visa expires? Why injustice to local passengers and treat to others? Why Jet not kept the passengers updated about the cancellation of the flight? Why alternative arrangements where not offered? When you have last flight to Mumbai and 2nd flight from Mumbai to Doha (1.30 departure from Mumbai to Doha) which could connect and avoid delay why is that your staff did not guide the passengers and just asked them to come back next day? We need clarifications from your sir.

If you lived outside India, you wouldn't have made such remarks in the first place!!

Do you know the residence permit/fresh visa has an expiry date before which the holder must enter the country that issued such visa??

    grow up boy!!

So you're basically saying that if I held an Indian passport, and my Visa is about to expire, I can travel to Abu Dhabi?? So that I go there and get deported again?? Or wait.. Are these people already UAE citizens?? Still makes no sense. Don't teach me about international travel.

    @ Samaritan,

You still seem to be ignorant in spite my explanation.

Any one who holds a valid visa, be it UAE, Kuwait can return that country even one day before expiry.

If you take a flight on these planes which are not punctual, chance are one will reach one day after expiry of the visa, for which Yourself, and these useless airlines will be held accountable for the consequences.

    for your information, nationals of
those countries do not need visa to enter their own country, as you (ignorantly) claim.

You need to educate yourself before you bla bla on DW!!
