Modi arrives in Beijing on second leg of visit


Beijing, May 14 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday arrived in the Chinese capital on the second leg of his three-day China trip.

Modi flew in here from the Chinese historic city of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province, where he held summit level talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Modi is to be accorded a formal ceremonial welcome on Friday morning and will hold talks with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, after which both sides are to ink several agreements. He goes to Shanghai on Saturday.
