Mangaluru: Tulu film 'Oriyan Thunda Oriyagapuji' hits screens

Mangaluru, May 15: Much-awaited Tulu film 'Oriyan Tunda Oriyagapuji' hit the silver screens on Friday, May 15 in Mangaluru. The premiere show was held at Central theatre in city.

Ramanath Hegde, administrator, Mangaladevi temple released the film by lighting the lamp during the inaugural ceremony.

Speaking to the gathering Ramanath said the movie will be a big success.












Anand K associate vice-president of Udayavani said, "It is a day for the Tulu industry which has created history. Our society will give their support for this movie. It is really a proud time for all of us as our culture is depicted on the big screen. In the past few years, many Tulu films have been released and there is a lot of competition. Let there be a healthy competition."

Film director Ha Soo Rajashekar requested the gathering to bless the movie by watching it.

B Ashok Kumar and A Ganghadar Shetty have produced the film. A Ganghadar Shetty has written the story,screen play and lyrics for the movie. V Manohar has directed the music and Vijaya Bharathi has provided the background music. Thriller Manju has provided stunts and action.

Rajesh Krishnan, Hemanth, Ajay Variyar, Anuradha Bhat have lent their voices for the songs. Madan Harini has coordinated the choreograpy. BS Kemparaj has edited the film. Nagesh Acharaya- Gowri Venkatesh have provided cinematography for the film.

In film has been relased in Central, Big Cinema, Cinepolis, PVR in Mangaluru and Ashirwad in Udupi from May 15. In the second phase it will hit the screens in BC Road, Puttur, Belthangady, Kasargod, Moodbidri, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Gulf countries.

Arjun Kapikad has played the role of hero with Prajwal Povaiah playing the role of heroine. Rekhadas, Bhavya, Chathan Rai Mani, Saikrishna Kudla, Aravind Bolar, Bojaraj Vamanjar, Sundar Rai Mandara, A Ganghadar Shetty Alake, B Ashok Kumar, Nagesh Dembel, Lokesh Barke and others have acted in the film.

On the occasion of the premiere, a Chende dance was performed.

Gangadhar Shetty, B Ashok Kumar and others were also present.
