: A ten-day Russian Cultural Festival comprising contemporary Russian film festival, cultural programmes, food festival and exhibitions will be organized here from April 4.

Russian Cultural Centre director Ratheesh C Nair told newspersons here that Russian Ambassador to India Vyachasalv I Trubnikov would inaugurate the festival in which State Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan would preside.

A cultural procession involving artistes from Russia and India would be organized as part of the event. Several Russian films like Ostrov(island), Peregon-Transit, Old Women and Dreaming of Space would be screened on the occasion.

In the valedictory function, a seminar on 'India and Russia- 60 Years of Friendship' would also be organized.
