Clear weather to continue in Kashmir


Srinagar, May 16 (IANS): Most parts of Jammu and Kashmir will witness clear weather next week, a local Met official said.

"Weather will remain mostly dry in the state during the next three to four days," the Met official told IANS here.

"We are expecting a clear day ahead. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 25 degrees Celsius. However, there may be a light shower on Sunday afternoon," the official said.

Meanwhile, it was a clear sunny morning on Saturday in Srinagar with the minimum temperature being recorded at 11.1 degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperatures in Jammu region's Katra and Bhaderwah towns remained at 17.5 degrees and 11.1 degrees Celsius respectively on Saturday.

Pahalgam and Gulmarg tourist resorts recorded a minimum temperature of 5.8 degrees and four degrees Celsius respectively.

The minimum temperature in Ladakh's Leh town settled at four degrees and the minimum temperature in Jammu city was 19.9 degrees Celsius.
