It is very nice to see transfer list, but the Parish Priest should be remain in one parish only for 5 years and he should not stay there more than five years. very few Parish Priest take some major development work in the fifth year and stay back until 7 years. it is not justified. the mangalore Diocese should form a building developement committe and all the developement shouild come to the review that committe and that committe should take the opinion of parish general body. the collected money should go the diocese building committe. the layman should be made as President of that committe.when they start the building work they say it is yours. once it is done it is ours so they say don't question and you people don't have right. i hope that Our Mangalore Diocese Bishop will transfer other Parish priest who completed five years irrespective of any development work.

    Dear Max, Mangalore,

What a wonderful thoughts from you. I agree with you on your above thoughts 100% and I am sure there are majority of those who do voice your thoughts that you have expressed above. However, I am sure you will have attracted so many Frowned eyes from our Priests for your suggestion of appointing a Lay man for Managing the building funds. This may not go well with our Priests.

I appreciate your suggestion and welcome such leaders. as per the diocesan decision a parish priests tenure is 7 years. as regards managing building and development works, I wholeheartedly support. they should manage both collecting and uting funds. good luck.
