Mangalore, Apr 2: These children may or may not have the realization that they are not like ‘normal’ kids. But they do know they there are people in this world who are praying for them and supporting them financially.

The future of the three bed-ridden children from Palimar - Avinash, Shailesh and Ritesh was bleak, but they became the focus of a world-wide audience when a humble appeal was published on www.daijiworld.com. The man behind this initiative was Dayan D'Souza in Dubai.

Syndicate Bank Manager Narayana Shervegar

One needs to salute the benevolence of various communities, especially those hailing from Mangalore and around. When money was received at the Syndicate Bank Kanjarkatte branch, there was no caste, creed, religion. Help that poured in had no boundaries at all.

It is heartening to know that over Rs 5 lac has been mobilized through just one simple appeal on Daijiworld!

The Daijiworld team, based in Mangalore, visited this family recently to study the progress and to get the details of the fundings so that transparency is ensured.

When we met the branch manager of Syndicate Bank, he was indeed astonished to see the helping nature of our own people spread around the world

"We have started receiving calls and enquiries from all around the world. This is the first time that help in such a nature is pouring in specially considering a small village like this.

Money is still reaching the bank account of Irene D’Souza mother of the children. Till Mar 28 the total sum deposited had crossed Rs 5 lac, informed bank manager Narayana Shervegar. He further added that in order to secure the future of these kids the amount collected will be deposited in a fixed deposit account, preferably in a joint account. With this arrangement in place the children will get help even when their parents are not with them.

The Daijiworld team was moved at the sight in the house of Irene D’Souza. The innocent and lovely kids only carried a smile. They are neither able to hear, talk nor even rise from the place they sleep!

They are also children of God or indeed special creation of God.

We at Daijiworld salute every one, without stating any names, who assisted financially and in other forms to this family.

We pledge to carryon our social responsibility towards the society in the near future.
