Bantwal, May 17: A doctor has died as a result of a bus accident at B C Road.
Dr Sureshchandra Shetty (68) from Modankap is the person deceased.
A bus had hit Dr Sureshchandra when he was crossing the road at B C Road. The doctor who was seriously injured in the accident was shifted to a Mangaluru hospital for further treatment.
But later he succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident.
Dr Sureshchandra Shetty worked abroad for many years before settling down in hometown. He started a clinic after that at B C Road Kaikamba. He was the president of IMA for several years.
He is survived by wife and three daughters.
