Chennai, May 17: Actor Kamal Haasan's whose recent film Uttam Villain garnered a whole lot of unwanted attention in terms of objections from various factions and court cases, has not let the eventual delayed release and subsequent failure deter him. He is working furiously to give his audiences more entertainment and has a spat of movies lined up for release as well ready to go on floors.

The actor's film 'Vishwaroopam 2' released on the 13th of April and 'Papanasam' got released on the 14th of January. Kamal has signed on for 'Thungavanam - The Jungle that never sleeps' which he described as, a stylish thriller along the lines of James Bond movies. While a lot people speculated that he played the role of a cop in the movie, Kamal rubbished the reports and said that the movie was quite different from his previous work and that it would be at par with international cinema. The movie is reportedly a fast paced thriller and will be shot in Chennai and Hyderabad. Rajesj Selvam has been roped in to direct this one by Raajkamal Film International who is the producer for this venture.

Uttam Villain on the other hand is yet to break even and has only made business so far due to the devotion of diehard Kamal fans who trekked to the theatres to watch his work. Trade analyst Trinath reported, "Two weeks since its release, the film is yet to break even. The reason for poor show at the box office is the delayed release. Had the film released as initially planned on May 1, it would've opened to record collections."
