Woman allegedly pulled from auto, gang-raped by 5 men in Delhi

New Delhi, May 17 (NDTV): A 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by five men in South East Delhi's Dakshinpuri last evening.

All five accused have been arrested.

The woman was travelling in an auto from Uttam Nagar in West Delhi to Defence Colony in South Delhi, when four people came in a Santro car and pulled the woman from the auto into their vehicle, she has alleged in her police complaint.

They then took her to Dakshinpuri in South Delhi, where along with another person, they gang-raped her, the woman added.

After the incident, the accused dropped the woman to Defence Colony.

The men were arrested based on the statement of the auto driver and the woman. The car which the accused were driving has also been recovered by the police.

The woman, meanwhile, has been taken to a hospital for medical examination.

This is the difference between AAP govt. and Congress govt. AAP found the culprits immediately, whereas during congress rule, culprits use to escape.... I think, this is due to installation of cameras or determination to stop criminalization of AAP...

These culprits should be hanged in public immediately. As Central Govt has failed to protect the public, it has no right to continue and step down immediately. Our Feku PM is busy in enjoying in abroad and giving away our hard money to other countries whereas poor are dying and women are being raped. This shameless central govt should be sacked and all the ministers should be jailed. They have no right to be in the office. Shameless Govt and Shameless ministers including PM.

I Observed ...Normally for Men or Animal ..$exual mood and hunting Nature(Aggressiveness) closely Follows ...And where its Jungle raj ( North India) ..there no One stops......In History it shows men wanted to see women in 2 Popular Tradition way of Dancing ...In South part of India it is Bharatnatyam....and In North it's Mujra......so it shows RAPE in our mind and Culture....

YOur perception of life, energy and divinity etc contradict and conflict with your ideology versus crimes..If everything is as per your perception then there should not be any crime..I am sorry, I cant buy your argument anymore..

Of all crimes, the rape is the most heinous of it and that too against a helpless women folk. Men are the protectors of women folk and rape...no way it can be forgiven or tolerated...If any capital punishment is there above the beheading, I recommend it for proven rapists....Rapists too should understand that he has mother, sisters, wives and female relative at large...Hang those people too who advocate against death penalty as these mindset encourages rape in some way or the other...

dear SFH without full knowledge please don't comment. The cases happening not published in gulf. I know few cases personally through someone including culprits came in police dress and did they took the females in their car saying they are taking to police station . We don't know how many cases happening . India our media is strong every news comes out.

I do not understand our legal and justice system! It is easy. Why take only woman to hospital. Take those accused also. Do a DNA test on the spot. DNA traces matched and with Auto driver's witness case is crystal clear. Punish the culprits. It can hardly take 10 days at the most. If this is done automatically the crimes come down. It is not what punishment you give matters, the speed of delivering justice that matters.

...Delhi became a crime capital..its not overnight..police in INDIA are very poor equipped,under paid burdened with heavy duties..drastic measures needed..For rapes, its every citizens rights to prevent..you can check experimental videos in youtube on how many bystanders ready to prevent a crime or rape..very small percentage of people shown courage to prevent the crime..like in western countries our school should teach basic tarinings on these things & first aid so on..some people are quick to say its by BJPian, RSS men, Vegitarian so on..its shows their mindset..some may be missed a report that the police in Kerala on look out at borders and airports - for a catholic priest who is wanted for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl..He did this inside church premises!!..priest Edwin Figurez has been missing since May 5..

Finally it is confirmed. We have become a banana republic. The Judiciary, the politicians, the bureaucracy and the media have failed this country. It is shame on Judiciary that the nirbhaya case still awaiting judgement to hang the criminals for good. The federal government will not bring a stricter law on rape because their own colleagues are involved. The bureaucracy and the media dance to the tune of corporates. These rapists don't have to now worry because they will get free food, free stay, free facilities at the cost of our taxes. This case will take minimum 5 years to reach its logical conclusion.

Mr . kukkikatte you are wrong. Since how long Saudi is beheading criminals?. It only looks good. Beheading is also called as murder. Crime is less in Saudi not because of law but because of richness. They can buy pleasures with money.

For many people in Saudi beheading is now a fun. They are teaching the public how to behead. Isn't it? .

When someone can't give a life then no rights to take life also. By birth no one is a criminal but situation make someone to make crime.

Finally, even for my mind this beheading for rapist looks good but one should think beyond mind. Mind is not real but we accumulated.
