Kasargod: Lorry-car collision- One killed, four injured seriously

Kasargod, May 18: In an accident which took place in the outskirts of Kasargod, a person died and four were seriously injured.

The accident took place on late night of Sunday, May 17.


Famis Khan (16) is the person deceased. Shamim (21) and Shahid (15) and two others have been injured seriously.

The people in the car had gone to Mangaluru airport and were on their way back home. The lorry was on the way towards Mangaluru from Kasargod. Both collided in the outskirts of Kasargod.

The condition of the car was very bad after the collision. Locals managed to take out the people trapped in the car. They were all rushed to a Kasargod hospital. But Famis Khan was declared dead on arrival. Other four were taken a hospital in Mangaluru city for advanced treatment.

The lorry driver is absconding.

Kasargod police have registered a case.
