Mangaluru: 'Chaali Polilu' celebrates 200 days of success with Big FM

Mangaluru, May 18: Superhit Tulu movie 'Chaali Polilu', which has completed a successful run of 200 days in the city, celebrated the milestone at 92.7 Big FM studio here on Monday May 18.

Addressing the gathering after cutting the cake, heath and family welfare minister U T Khadar said, "I am really happy that this movie has completed 200 days. These days, many feel that our youngsters are learning new languages and sidelining Tulu, but our artistes are working hard to keep the language alive.

"Chaali Polilu has given a message to the whole state that we will not allow our language to fade away. It has also proved that Tulu movies have a bright future. I wish this movie becomes an inspiration to all. I congratulate the crew and the cast on their success".

Prakash Pandeshwar, producer of 'Chaali Polilu' said, " I am happy to see the love and support for 'Chaali Polilu'. It gave me confidence to do more Tulu movies. I thank each and everyone who has worked hard for the success of this movie. At present you can enjoy the movie at PVR, and from next week you can watch it at Prabhath theatre. The movie will be released in Bahrain on May 17. We are also planing to release it in Australia. I also thank 92.7 Big FM for its wholehearted support for the movie."

The film is produced by Prakash Pandeshwar under the banner Jayakirana Films and directed by Veerendra Shetty Kavoor.

92.7 Big FM executive producer Shilpa Shetty welcomed the gathering.

Director Veerendra Shetty Kavoor, RJ Errol, RJ Roopesh, RJ Rakhista, promo producer Joel Rebello, sales executives Rakesh and Alston were present.

Fans got a chance to interact with the producer and the director who went live on air with RJ Roopesh as a part of the regular Big Coffee programme between 8 am-11 am.
