Mangalore, Apr 4: Fr Andrew D'Souza, parish priest of Blessed Joseph Vas church in Mudipu near here has been associated with the famed Bangadi Yakshagana troupe for many years.
While Yakshagana writer Bangadi has been promoting harmony by writing and staging ballets and stage-plays based on Christian values and messages of peace and harmony, Fr D'Souza has been providing him all support to Bangadi to carry on with his art format.
Recently a Yakshagana play based on St Thomas' stay and journey in India was staged by Bangadi and his troupe.
Gestures of this kind will certainly go a long way in promoting communal harmony and understanding of each other's faith in a better perspective.
