Kundapur: 28-year-old man killed in truck-bike collision

Kundapur, May 19: A collision between a sand-laden truck and a Bullet bike at Hennabailu near Siddapura Hosangady here claimed the life of a young man on Tuesday May 19.

The deceased has been identified as Sukumar Shetty (28).

He was riding from Batte Mallappa circle towards Vakwady when a truck laden with sand collided with his bike near Siddapura. A critically injured Sukumar died on the spot.

Sukumar was the son of Bojaraj Shetty, a resident of Vakwady, Koteshwar. It is learnt that he was riding towards his home when the accident took place.

Sukumar was running his own business in Kundapur town. He leaves behind his parents and a younger sister.

Negligent and rash driving by the truck driver caused the accident, locals said.

A case has been registered in Shankaranarayana police station.

    The man is still on his motorcycle while these pictures are being taken. Why is not being taken to the hospital. you never know, he could be alive and saved!!

    Traffic Department take some actions to stop these kind of accidents where people loose their lives because of some silly faults.
