Karkala, Apr 5: B Yogish Baliga (72), senior teache in Hindustani classical music from here, died of a heart attack on April 4.
He had served as principal of Saraswati Music School in Bantwal since 1964 and later from 1987 as founder-principal of Jaycees Music School here. He was also serving as founder-president of Shastriya Sangeet Sabha since 1992.
He held 'Vidwat' diplomas in Tabla and Violin. He is survived by wife.
