Mangaluru, May 20: The family of former south zone Congress committee president late B G Somappa Kundar donated school books and scholarships for 150 students in Kanti church near Mangaladevi temple.
MLA J R Lobo, speaking after inaugurating the porgramme, recollected the social work of late B G Somappa Kundar. “May his social concern inspire us. The social work of his children walking on his footsteps,is really praiseworthy,” he said.
Corporation Mayor Jecintha Alfred, Corporator Rathikala, Kavitha Vasu,Prabhakar Sriyan, Padmanabh Ameen, Denis D' Silva, Ramanand Poojary, T K Sudhir, Harish Kumble, Sunil Shetty, Namitha D Rao, Kishan Kishore,Suresh Shetty, Sathish Kunder, Jayakar Samarth and others were present.
