Mangaluru, May 20: The United Muslim Organization, DK district, led by former mayor K Ashraf on Wednesday May 20 alleged that the injury certificate of the school child who was sexually assaulted in March has been leaked by Lady Goschen hospital, and that the school has been circulating it among parents claiming that no assault took place.

The child, an LKG student of Mangalore One school, was sexually assaulted on March 13 this year allegedly by Madhkar, the driver of her school van. Madhukar was arrested the same evening.

Addressing a press meet at Hotel Woodlands here, Ashraf said, "We have been demanding that the medical report be handed over to the victim's parents, but it has not been done so far. But now the injury certificate has been leaked by Lady Goschen hospital, and the school is circulating it among parents of other children claiming that there was no sexual assault and the child got hurt after she fell and grazed against a chair.

"We have also filed a complaint against the school authorities and Lady Goschen hospital in this regard," he added.

He also informed that United Muslim Organization would hold a protest against the school on May 22 at 4 pm in front of the DC's office demanding stringent action the school.

"Though several memorandums were submitted to the district administration, no suitable action has been taken against the school so far," he added.

"The school should be shut down and proper action should be taken against the school authorities. In the coming days, along with parents, we will gherao the school. A CID probe has been ordered into the case, though we did not demand for it," he said.

Allegations denied

When contacted by daijiworld, superintendent of Lady Goschen hospital Dr Shakunathala denied the allegations that the injury certificate had been leaked. "It is impossible. The injury certificate is in the custody of the doctor who examined the child, and there is no way it would leak. We are waiting for the forensic report, and once it is ready, the medical report and forensic report will be handed over together," she said.

Speaking to daijiworld, Dr Sundari who examined the child also denied the allegations and said, "The injury certificate has been handed over to the investigation officer. It is impossible that it would be leaked."

However, K Ashraf during the press meet provided media persons with a copy of the purported injury certificate in which it is stated that nail abrasion was found in the child's private parts but there was no blood stain or seminal stains. Ashraf claimed that the school has been circulating this certficate claiming that the nail abrasion was caused by the lady attender who examined her after she got hurt when falling from the chair.

This is purely political n communal issue. Without any reason innocent guy got scapegoat and his family life got disturbed. Looks like Muslim league is taking this much interest just for their own personal benefits, definitely not for child or their parents.

I pity the biased mentality of few Daiji readers. For these people, Raising the issue of a child rape case is a conspiracy to make Mangalore another Karachi, they see hidden Agenda in protesting against this heinous crime, and some feel fishy in this tragic incident. Just imagine how this people might have reacted if this 4 year old child is from MAJORITY community and the culprit is from a MINORITY community. may God save our Motherland.

Fight for the right must continue.Injustice is guarrenteed in large number of such cases due drawbacks of our legal system.Delay of the report means protecting the school and the same congress govt never think of SOME PUBLIC SAFETY BHAAGYA.Just take an example of how the aggressive chief minister siddaramayya and useless sincere ministers like ramanath rai,ut khadar completely silence in the matter of arresting kalladka bhat on communal issues. Govt lacks will power.IF THERE IS A WILL ,THERE IS A WAY.

Name it Sister Aruna Shanbaug who was on a vegetative state for 42 years before breathing her last this week or a cry of small child of any school as is being explained in Daiji’s reporting, we feel very sorry for the judicial system of the country having whole lot of complexities allowing twisting of facts that ultimately favors the perpetrator. Public memory is very weak and ultimately all these bitter episodes will be forgotten but facts will always prevail. Let the authorities, peace-seekers and law makers raise for the occasion and do the needful for preventing such heinous crimes.

From the sequence of events we can infer that the whole story is cooked up just for some vengeance against the retired police officer who runs the school.
The attitude of ashraf and co., making a mountain out of nothing, justifies my inference.

This helpless child will never get justice. That rapist will be released after the matter subsides. School will run. People will forget. Only the child and parents will suffer. Such is our judiciary hijacked by rich and famous. Jai Ho!
