Beltangady, May 21: Lawyer-cum-entrepreneur from the town, Ramachandra Shenoy, who was allegedly kidnapped by a gang, suddenly reappeared on Wednesday May 20.

Shenoy's wife, in her first information report registered in the police station here, had suspected that a gang had kidnapped him in connection with a financial dispute concerning his business.

It was reported that some miscreants who arrived in a car without any number plate, picked Shenoy from his factory and lodge located near Neerachilume here. On Wednesday, the policemen were told by Shenoy's wife that he had come back home, and that the abductors had beaten him up. It is gathered that the lawyer has got admitted into a private hospital here.

However, he has not so far come up with any explanation about the identity of his abductors, where he had been kept, why was he kidnapped, etc. The people too are perturbed at this development, and hence are equally curious to know the details.

The police personnel from the taluk were in a tizzy at the sudden kidnap of a lawyer from the town, and they had been making all out efforts to trace the culprits.
