'Talkative' lawyer sent to jail by Saudi judge


May 21 (Emirates 24|7): A Saudi judge jailed a lawyer for one day for talking too much and refusing to stop during hearings in court in the Gulf Kingdom.

The lawyer was defending a local man in a court case in the Gulf Kingdom when the judge interrupted and asked him to stop.

“The lawyer refused to stop and kept talking during hearings…the judge threatened to kick the lawyer out but he went on talking…the judge then asked the police to remand the lawyer in custody for 24 hours,” Sabq daily said.
