Woman stipped, dragged by hair and beaten up by 5 men for her land

Palghar, May 21: A Maharashtrian woman, who was 45 yrs of age, had her clothes ripped off and was dragged, nude, on to the road and beaten by 5 men who wanted her to give them the contract to her land, on Tuesday. The police have arrested on of the accused and he has been identified as Naresh Dhodi, yesterday.

The five men arrived at the woman's house in Dandi Pada village in Boisar and proceeded to forcibly enter her home and ripping off her clothes. They then dragged her, by her hair on to the road and went on to beat her up with sticks. The information was revealed by SS Gharat, Sub-inspector at Boiser police station.

The woman apparently had bought the piece of land Dhodi around half a year ago. Soon after Dhodi had approached the woman asking for the right to develop on her land. When the woman refused, he continued to harass her until the day he had, had enough and decided to take drastic steps.
