Dubai: Fortune Group organizes blood donation camp

Media Release

Dubai, May 24: In its unwavering commitment to serve the community, Fortune Group of Hotels - A Praveen Shetty Enterprise, organized a blood donation camp at Latifa Hospital, Dubai on Friday May 22.

This was organized specially on the joyful occasion of 50th wedding anniversary of Vakwady Sarkallumane Sarojini Shetty and Kavady Melmane Sri Narayan Shetty, the parents of Fortune Group chairman Praveen Kumar Shetty.

The hotel team decided to be a part of this celebration by giving a gift that can't be matched otherwise, the 'gift of life'. A shortage of this valuable resource has a major impact on victims of road traffic accidents and trauma victims, women with complicated pregnancies, children suffering from thalassemia, and people undergoing major surgeries.

Speaking on the occasion, Alok Narula, Group general manager said, "Donation of blood means a few minutes to us but a lifetime for somebody else. It gives us immense contentment to be able to contribute towards our community by way of donating blood for the needy patients. I would like to thank all the team members, blood donors from the Fortune family for their life-saving gifts of blood.''

The camp witnessed active participation from hotel employees who volunteered to donate blood for this noble cause. Through this blood donation camp, Fortune Group of Hotels aims to raise awareness not only for blood donation but also for the need of safe blood and blood products.
