Blast targets Pakistan president's son


Islamabad, May 25 (IANS): Son of Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain escaped unhurt in bomb attack in southwestern Balochistan late on Sunday, police said.

Five policemen in the escort team of Talat Mamnoon and six other people were injured in the bomb blast at the industrial town of Hub, Xinhua reported.

Hub is nearly 31 km from the port city of Karachi.

A police officer, Abdul Rashid said that bomb was attached to a motorbike that targeted the security personnel of the Talat Mamnoon.

No group claimed responsibility. The authorities blame such attack on insurgents.
