Mangaluru: 'Dhand' Tulu movie to hit screens on May 29

Mangaluru, May 25: Much-awaited Tulu movie 'Dhand' produced by Shodhan Prasad, the second under the banner of Sandhya Creations after the superhit 'Nirel', will hit the silver screen in the twin districts on May 29.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Monday May 25, Shodhan Prasad said, "This is a unique movie based on a real-life story. The movie also conveys an important message to society regarding drug menace. The movie will be released in 11 theatres across the twin districts."

He further added, "The film has been written and directed by Ranjith Bajpe. Abhishek S N has provided the music, Sujith Nayak has edited the movie, while Karthik Kallur has done the cinematography for this film. Actors like Arjun Kapikad, Sandep Shetty, Anup Sagar, Shilpa Suvarna, Gopinath Bhat, Anvitha Sagar, Umesh Mijar, and others have acted in this movie."

The film will be released in Suchitra theatre on May 29 morning, followed by a premier show. For the first time, Surakshita Shetty has designed the costumes as well as assistant direction to the movie. "There are 5 songs in the movie, and celebrated Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam has lent his voice to one of the songs," Shodhan said.

Executive producer Sudhakar Kudroli, Surakshitha Shetty and others were present on this occasion.
