Hot Wednesday ahead in Delhi


New Delhi, May 27 (IANS): It was a warm Wednesday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.

The Met Office has forecast a hot day ahead.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 44 degrees Celsius.

"The day ahead is likely to be hot and the temperature is likely to soar up to 44 degree. The city is also likely to witness heat wave," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 38 percent.

Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded 45 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature of the day settled at 28 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.
